Tramaine Perkins | CEO-Founder

Tramaine is a dedicated professional with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Grand Canyon University, where she started her educational journey back in 2001. With a passion for finance and taxes, Tramaine continued her learning and honed her skills by completing the After Refresher Program (AFSP) with the IRS.

Her interest in taxes started at a young age, being taught by her father when she was just 13 years old. Combining over 20 years of experience in preparing taxes on the side with a decade of retail management, Tramaine's expertise and knowledge in financial matters have been well-rounded and extensive.

In 2017, Tramaine and her beloved father embarked on a new venture together by starting their own company. However, the journey took a turn when her father tragically passed away the day after Father’s Day in 2017. Despite facing this loss, Tramaine continues to honor her father's legacy by thriving in the business they built together and helping others with their financial needs.

Tramaine is not only a skilled financial professional but also a person of diverse interests and passions. Apart from her expertise in taxes and business management, she finds joy in exploring her spirituality and learning about God. She enjoys immersing herself in books across various genres and indulges in watching drama, action, and love movies, appreciating the different stories and emotions they evoke.

Traveling is another one of Tramaine's great loves, as she savors the experiences and adventures that come with visiting new places and immersing herself in different cultures. Sports enthusiast by nature, she has a particular fondness for boxing, considering it her favorite sport and finding inspiration in the discipline, strategy, and skill involved in the sport.

Justin Perkins | Assistant Manager

Justin Perkins serves as the Assistant Manager for Perkins Tax Services, where he brings a strong dedication to customer service and a passion for helping clients successfully navigate through tax season. With a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Studies and a Master of Science in Leadership with an emphasis in Homeland Security and Emergency Management from Grand Canyon University, Justin combines his educational expertise with practical experience to deliver exceptional support to his clients.

Committed to staying ahead in the ever-changing world of tax laws, Justin actively participates in continuing education to remain updated on IRS rules, regulations, and tax policies. This ensures that his clients receive the most accurate and beneficial advice tailored to their unique situations.

Outside of his professional life, Justin enjoys playing basketball, reading, and expressing his creativity through poetry. A devoted college football fan, he proudly supports the Michigan Wolverines—Go Blue! Justin's dedication to his work and his well-rounded interests make him a valuable asset to both his clients and his community.

Committed to professional growth, she actively pursues IRS-approved continuing education courses to enhance her expertise and provide top-notch support to clients and colleagues alike. Outside of work, Christina finds joy in fitness activities, watching documentaries, and cherishing quality moments with her loved ones.

Vevelyn Perkins | Manager

After a long and dedicated career as a bus driver for PISD spanning 18 years, Vevelyn found herself transitioning into a new chapter of her professional life. Following an early retirement, she seamlessly stepped into the role of a manager at Perkins Tax Services. This transition was partly influenced by the untimely passing of Tramaine's father, leading Vevelyn to take his place in the family business and solidify her position as a trusted and respected figure within the company. Prior to her tenure as a bus driver, Vevelyn honed her managerial skills during her 15-year stint as a telephone operator in a management capacity. Her experience in effectively overseeing operations, managing teams, and ensuring smooth communication channels served as a solid foundation for her later role at Perkins Tax Services. Despite her many responsibilities, Vevelyn continues to enhance her knowledge and skills in tax preparation by diligently undertaking training courses and staying up-to-date with the latest regulations and practices set forth by the IRS. This dedication to ongoing learning and professional development underscores Vevelyn's commitment to providing top-notch service and expertise to her clients at Perkins Tax Services.

In addition to her successful career at Perkins Tax Services, Vevelyn finds joy and fulfillment in various other aspects of her life. A devout believer, she cherishes moments of praising and worshiping God, finding solace and inspiration in her faith. Her spiritual practice not only grounds her but also guides her actions and interactions with others, imbuing her managerial role with kindness, compassion, and understanding. A proud alumna of Alvin High School in 2018, she is currently pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree at the University of Houston, balancing her academic pursuits with her professional responsibilities. In addition to her studies, Kaia also holds a position as an intern at Kroger in Alvin, Texas, where she gains hands-on experience in the field of pharmacy.

With a passion for helping clients navigate the complexities of tax preparation, Kaia strives to assist each individual to the best of her ability, ensuring they receive the maximum refund they deserve. Her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence make her an indispensable asset to the team at Perkins Tax Services.

After graduating from Pearland High School in 2001, she continued her education at Houston Community College before pursuing her passion for beauty at Remington College, where she graduated as a certified cosmetologist in 2012.

Currently, Cathy serves as a full-time Wax Specialist at European Wax Center, where her skills and expertise help clients look and feel their best. In addition, she also works part-time as a Data Entry Specialist at Perkins Tax Services, showcasing her versatility and commitment to excellence.

During non-tax season, Cathy dedicates her time to furthering her knowledge and skills in tax laws by undergoing training sessions to stay updated on any changes and enhancements to tax regulations. This proactive approach ensures that she is well-equipped to handle any challenges that may arise in her role as a Data Entry Specialist at Perkins Tax Services.

Outside of work, Cathy enjoys indulging in her creative side through decorating and crafting projects. She finds joy in spending quality time with her two sons, husband, and extended family members, cherishing every moment shared with her loved ones.

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys cooking, watching Kdramas, and is an avid crocheter, continually improving her craft. She is also deeply involved in church programs and activities, where she actively contributes. Her strong faith guides her work ethic, as she firmly believes in performing tasks with excellence, doing them as if for the Lord, not for human approval.
